MicTic
Wearable Instrument
The Mictic device is a pair of wristbands that use motion sensors and spatial mapping to turn your gestures into music. Connected via Bluetooth to a smartphone, it lets users create sounds in mid-air across 15 musical styles, from Rock and Hip Hop to Latin and EDM.
I worked as an audio programmer on the project, using Pure Data to build the core sound engine. I developed creative synthesis and sampler systems designed for real-time music creation, triggered directly by data from motion sensors.
