This project was a GPS-driven adaptive music experience that responded to movement through the historic Nottingham Caves, creating a dynamic soundscape based on the listener’s location. Commissioned by Adrian Hazzard from the Nottingham University Mixed Reality Lab, it featured original music by Robert Thomas.

I worked on this project from concept to implementation, contributing both technically and creatively. I helped program the audio engine in Pure Data, designing and building the real-time system that allowed the music to adapt dynamically to GPS input. I also worked as the recording engineer, capturing impulse responses within the Nottingham Caves. These recordings were later used to create a convolution reverb that accurately recreated the unique acoustics of the caves, enhancing the immersive quality of the experience.
